Week 23 - Mevagissey

52 Week Challenge, Week 23 – Mevagissey

Mevagissey is a pretty little village with extremely narrow roads and winding alleys full of charming local shops selling great local produce like Cornish pasties, fudge etc.

It is a fishing port with a busy working harbour that is very much open to the public.

Mevagissey has a little museum on the east harbour wall run by volunteers inside which you will find lots of local history. And also along the harbour there is an aquarium.

There are several lovely restaurants, eateries and pubs overlooking the harbour and in the summer this coast has a very Mediterranean look and feel.

With this year being the year of the “Staycation” Mevagissey and the south-east coast of Cornwall is a splendid option.
