52 Week Challenge, Week 47 – Sailor and Dresses

 This is my great niece, Sailor. A very cute little girl with a very modern name. And like most little girls today Sailor will usually be found in casual clothes like leggings and tops.

 Clothes that are perfect for crawling around and exploring.

 Clothes that are easy to wash and wear.

 Clothes that won’t be scarred by the magnetic muck and stains babies and toddlers seem to so easily attract.

 But these gorgeous dresses were made by my sister over 30 years ago for Sailor’s mum, my niece Emma.

 They still look so beautiful we just couldn’t resist a little photoshoot to show them off.

 Sailor was a little bemused by the whole process and probably quite relieved to get back into her usual garb.

 But Emma and I had fun!!
